Welcome to the Called and Curious Podcast-the space for Christian women to feel “at home” in the Kingdom and in our own thoughts by connecting our hearts and minds to the heart and mind of Christ!

I’m your host, Ashriel Huber, a faith-filled personal trainer for thought patterns. I’m so excited that you’re here because today we’re diving into a topic that lightens the load of our journey, builds community, and allows for greater achievement and success.

I recently found myself reflecting on my son's flag football season—yes, the one where I thought I was just going to be a sideline cheerleader but ended up learning some life-changing lessons!

As I watched the teams play, it became clear that those who focused on individual star players missed the mark. Their success hinged on talent but lacked the heart and soul of true teamwork. On the other hand, I saw another team that worked together like a well-oiled machine, supporting each other through every play. It reminded me of the timeless fable of the Tortoise and the Hare—where steady perseverance and collaboration eventually triumphed over speed and individualism.

So, what does this mean for us? Well, let’s break it down. Teamwork isn’t just for the flag football field; it’s essential in our lives as Christian women striving for personal growth and community engagement. Neuroscience tells us that our brains thrive in supportive environments. When we feel valued and engaged, our performance improves, and we are more likely to contribute our unique gifts to the greater good. It’s like a divine design, beautifully woven into our lives!

It’s important to reflect on our roles within our teams and see how we can intentionally bring teamwork and collaboration into our days and lives.

After all, there’s only one YOU and your contributions are valuable and are needed to weave into the bigger picture that God has designed for us.
